Our Disinfecting Foggers for Churches Provide Optimum Convenience

Church is a place where worshippers go for prayer, community and comfort. It is an important part of the weekly routine for many families and individuals, which is why it is essential to keep the space clean. With people coming in and out of the building on a daily basis, it is likely that plenty of bacteria and germs will find its way in. With our church disinfecting fogger, you don’t have to worry.

We have 5 different models of sanitising fogging machines. For churches that don’t have many available plug sockets, our 3 cordless models are ideal. All you have to do is charge them up and then they’re ready for action! Each one is incredibly easy to use as all that’s required is for you to fill up the tank with our SHIELDme™ high-level disinfectant, turn it on and spray!

It is possible to cover 20 square metres in just 1 minute with our disinfecting foggers for churches. With each spray, the particles will hit the surface and will not take long to dry. Due to the fast-acting nature of our foggers, you can clean multiple times throughout the day should you wish. Given how many people could potentially walk in and out of the church on a daily basis, frequent cleaning is advised.

With our church disinfecting fogger, you will be able to sanitise the aisles, seating and all other surfaces in the building. The ‘wet fog’ setting is appropriate for large spaces, while the ‘dry fog’ setting is more suitable for smaller areas and those hard-to-reach places. Once you have completed the clean, make sure you store the fogger in a cool, dry place

What is a Disinfectant Fogging Machine?

If you’re simply wiping down a few surfaces, a straightforward spray bottle will be more than sufficient. However, there will be situations where this will be far from practical. Take, for instance, a GP surgery or dental clinic. Treatment rooms must be disinfected between each patient, and this can take time if you’re just using a spray bottle and cloth. Plus, you could also potentially miss areas in which the virus can lurk.

Fogging machines work by vaporising a large quantity of the formula, converting it into a mist or fog. The process is very simple: you first start by loading the reservoir with our SHIELDme™ formula. You then simply press the button to activate the machine. Using the flexible hose with rotating sprayer head, the machine disperses the formula into the room.

Because it’s in a vaporised form, the fog/ mist is able to seep into every space and find every nook and cranny. This ensures that no pathogens are able to lurk out of sight where they would be otherwise missed by someone with a spray bottle and cloth. The beauty of a fogging machine is that the process is super-fast. An entire room can be disinfected in a matter of minutes, and as the formula dries with no residue, there’s no need to go round with a damp cloth afterwards.

Available in two sizes – 5 and 12L, our disinfectant foggers can achieve a spray distance of around 6-8m. This ensures complete coverage in rooms of any size, regardless of dimensions.

Where Can Fogging Machines Be Used?

Pathogens can be found anywhere, so it was vital to us at SHIELDme™ that our fogging machines and portable fogging machines not be limited to certain applications. In fact, you’ll find that these devices are essential for providing high-level sanitisation in all public spaces. The most prevalent use of this technology is in healthcare environments.

Hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, research labs, etc., are environments where cleanliness and hygiene are of paramount importance. Take GP surgeries and dental clinics as an example. Treatment rooms must be sterilised between patients, and this is a time-consuming process if done using a spray bottle and cloth. Our fogging machines make quick work of this, ensuring a treatment room is not out of action for any longer than 20 minutes, best case scenario.

But the applications for our portable fogging machines don’t end there. Educational, leisure, retail, and hospitality venues can be havens for germs. All see a large amount of footfall, and often standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness can vary wildly. The risk of contamination in these areas is very high, and so routine sterilisation of these public spaces is necessary.

Public transport is another area in which these machines can be used as well as places of worship, such as churches, mosques, and synagogues. Plus, farmers can use our fogging machines to prevent pathogens from building up to lethal levels – something which can easily devastate livestock. Finally, our portable foggers can also be used around the home – that’s right; our machines are even used by homeowners right across the UK.

What Are the Benefits of Using a Disinfectant Fogger Machine?

If you’ve ever tried cleaning an entire room using a spray bottle and cloth, you’ll know how much hard work it can be. Not only does it take time, especially if you must stop to move objects out of your way, but it also isn’t anywhere near as effective as you think. Often, you’re missing spots or not going over areas sufficiently enough to achieve complete sanitisation. And if you use the same cloth throughout, you could risk spreading pathogens about the place.

The advantage of disinfectant fogging machines is that they vaporise the formula, dispersing it into the room where it interacts with any exposed surfaces. This includes the floors, walls, and even the ceiling – an area that often gets missed. Not only that, but the fog/ mist also gets into even the tiniest crevices; spaces where you couldn’t possibly reach with a cloth. Simply put, wherever pathogens lurk, the formula will seek them out.

The process is both quick and easy. You simply load up the portable fogger, press the button to activate and point then nozzle. The formula itself dries quickly and leaves behind no residue, so there’s no need to go round with a damp cloth afterwards. If you need to make ready a treatment room quickly or carry out thorough end-of-day cleaning, our fogging machines will save you a great deal of time. You’ll be able to sterilise an entire room very quickly, regardless of size or dimensions. These devices are powered too, so you won’t have to manually pump the formula.

    How Do Fogging Machines Work?

For situations where a spray bottle and cloth simply won’t do, there’s the disinfectant fogging machine. Unlike a spray bottle, a fogger is able to cover a much larger area quickly. This makes it very useful for situations like in hospitals where large wards need to be sanitised regularly. But how do fogging machines work? In essence, they use pressure to vaporise the liquid in the onboard reservoir.

Through pressure, this liquid is turned into a mist or fog which is then distributed via a hose and nozzle equipped with a rotating sprayer head. With our portable disinfectant foggers, a total distance of eight metres is possible, though spray density and distance can be moderated. A minimum distance of six metres can also be achieved.

Our fogging machines can work with virtually any liquid in theory. However, we recommend pairing our machines with our unique SHIELDme™ formula for maximum benefits. This is because when using a fogging machine, any solution can hang in the air and linger on surfaces. But our formula dries quickly and leaves behind no residue, eliminating this concern entirely.

That being said, we still recommend when using our disinfectant fogging machines that you allow for at least 20 minutes or so for the product to do its job and dissipate. So long as you use it correctly, a portable fogger can be an invaluable piece of equipment that will ensure any room remains completely sanitised.

Why Should You Use a Fogging Cleaning Machine?

We’ve touched on this above already, but the long and short of it is that disinfectant fogging machines help to make your life easier while providing you with peace of mind. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we’re dealing with a virus that’s proven both deadly and tenacious. For businesses to operate and homeowners to feel safe, it’s important to keep spaces sanitised, free of harmful pathogens.

While using a spray bottle and cloth has limited success, it’s nowhere near as effective, taking a long time to achieve somewhat semi-successful results. By switching to a fogging cleaning machine, you can greatly increase your success rate while dramatically reducing the amount of time it takes. This is because our disinfectant foggers do all the work for you.

By pressing a button, our unique SHIELDme™ formula is vaporised, turning it into a mist/ fog through the application of pressure. The formula is dispersed 6-8m into the room through the attached nozzle and rotating sprayer head. Once in the room, it settles on the floor, walls, and ceiling and seeps into even the tiniest crevices. In a matter of minutes, you’ll have achieved complete coverage – what might have taken an hour or so with a spray bottle and cloth.

Not only that, but you’ll have a successfully sanitised areas which may have otherwise been inaccessible with a spray bottle and cloth. Our fogging machines make it possible to clean large spaces quickly and effectively. This makes them especially useful for situations where a room must be cleaned between use, such as a dental treatment room.

How Can Industrial Fog Machines Be Used?

It’s not just small to medium-sized rooms, like treatment rooms, wards, shops, and office spaces that can be rife with pathogens, industrial spaces can be too. For instance, a factory can easily contain a couple of hundred employees. In such environments, the need for sanitisation isn’t particularly high and so harmful pathogens can potentially gain a foothold.

To prevent a virus like COVID-19 from sweeping through an entire workforce, industrial fogging machines can be used to sanitise a much larger area. The large 12L capacity of our bigger disinfectant foggers makes these devices perfectly suited for such environments. From warehouses to production floors, you can use our foggers to quickly sanitise entire areas. This is good news as such environments are often impossible to sanitise using spray bottles and cloths.

Industrial fog machines can be used by farmers too. Harmful pathogens can quickly sweep through livestock to devastating effect. Best case scenario, the farmer loses most, if not all, of their livestock. Worst case scenario, something bad makes it into the food chain leading to a more serious issue. When dealing with farms, you’re talking large barns, stables, and enclosures that cannot be cleaned through conventional methods.

But with a disinfectant fogger, these environments can be completely and thoroughly sanitised. Plus, as our unique formula is 100% all-natural, it can be used safely around animals without any ill side effects. So, as you can see, fogging machines are a versatile piece of equipment.

    What Fogging Chemicals Are Used?

Fogging machines can be used in conjunction with all types of liquid, such as fumigants and anti-mould sprays. These machines are commonly used in tandem with disinfectant liquids, and when you purchase a fogger from us, you’ll have the option of purchasing the disinfectant at the same time. Our unique SHIELDme™ formula is, in fact, not actually a chemical.

This immediately sets it apart from all those other chemicals which can be loaded into disinfectant fogging machines. Our formula is 100% all-natural, containing hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and super oxidised water. HOCl occurs naturally in our bodies and is produced by our immune systems to help stave off infection while providing a novel form of wound care.

When used outside the body, HOCl has been shown to eliminate 99.99% of harmful pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Because it’s natural, it poses no risk to humans and can even be safely used around pregnant women, children, and pets. When distributed by our disinfectant fogging machines, it disperses into the room, eliminating pathogens on contact.

As it dries, the disinfectant dissipates, leaving behind no residue that’ll need to be wiped away by a damp cloth. Instead, you’ll be left with a work or living space that’s completely sanitised. The beauty of our formula is that it is non-toxic, so won’t impact air quality. It’s a non-irritant, so it’s completely benign to human skin. Plus, it contains no alcohol and is entirely eco-friendly.

If you prefer to use something else, know that you can run most other chemical disinfectants through our disinfectant foggers too.

Is a Fogger Machine the Same as a Fumigation Machine?

Fogging and fumigation machines work very differently to one another, and while there is some overlap, it’s best to not confuse one with the other. Fumigation machines work by releasing (often highly toxic) gas into the environment while a fogger vaporises a liquid, turning it into a mist or fog. Generally speaking, anyone can use a disinfectant fogger with very limited training. In contrast, fumigation machines can only be operated by licensed, professional fumigators.

Because of how foggers work, they can be used in open environments, whereas fumigation machines are limited to enclosed and airtight spaces for maximum effectiveness. It’s also worth noting that unless proper, strict safety protocols are followed, the gas released by fumigation machines can be deadly. By contrast, occasional exposure to the fog given off by a fogging machine carries a very low risk of harm. This harm is brought down to almost zero if you’re using our unique, all-natural formula.

Even still, care should be taken when using our disinfectant fogging machines. The appropriate PPE must be worn, and the room must be left vacant for at least half an hour following any fogging treatment. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of both your staff and customers. If you’re still unsure as to the difference between a fogging machine and a fumigation machine or have any other questions or concerns, you can always call the SHIELDme™ team. We’ll be more than happy to advise you.

What is the Benefit of Using a Fogging Machine During a Lockdown?

With the UK set to enter a second lockdown until the beginning of December, many businesses are now being required to close once more. Those allowed to stay open are permitted to do so as they provide essential services, such as supermarkets. Schools and other educational institutions will also stay open as will construction sites. But to ensure that these can remain open, strict COVID-19 guidelines must still be followed.

The benefit of using a fogging machine during a lockdown is that it helps your business do its part to flatten the curve once more. For workers not furloughed and unable to work from home, it ensures they remain safe and protected during this trying period. For those reliant on public transport, disinfectant fogging machines help mitigate much of the harmful pathogens that are present on buses as well as the Underground.

And for businesses that have shut, now is the perfect time to get everything sanitised from top-to-bottom. When the lockdown does finally start to lift, the ability for businesses to re-open may very well hinge on this. With a disinfectant fogger, business owners and staff can quickly make their premises safe for returning employees and customers alike.

Plus, for homeowners, our fogging machines provide much-needed peace of mind, especially for those who are deemed to be high-risk. The bottom line is that for us to emerge from this lockdown and bring infection rates back down to a level that won’t overwhelm our NHS, we all need to do our part. And disinfectant fogging machines play a vital role in creating and maintaining safe working and living environments for all.

How Long Does It Take to Use a Disinfectant Fogging Machine in a Room?

Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising an entire room can take quite some time, especially if it’s a large room with a lot of objects and furniture in the way. Consider large open spaces, like industrial environments, or rooms with high ceilings, and it becomes even more time-consuming and problematic. The truth is that you can spend hours and not managed to clean every nook and cranny.

The beauty of using disinfectant foggers is that they drastically slash the time it takes to clean even large, open spaces. Simply load the fogger up with your chosen disinfectant (we recommend our unique, all-natural SHIELDme™ formula), point the nozzle where you want to start, and you’re good to go. Because the fogger vaporises the formula, turning it into a mist or fog, it’s able to cover a much larger area.

As the fog/ mist disperses into the room, it comes to rest on surfaces, including the floor, walls, and even the ceiling. It enables you to tackle those hard-to-reach areas without having to grab a step ladder. And because it seeps into every little crevice, it’s able to target pathogens wherever they lurk.

From the moment you start, it can take around 5-10 minutes to fog an entire room. After which, it’s recommended that you leave the room for up to 30 minutes to let the fog dissipate. In total, it can take around half an hour to sanitise a medium-sized room with you only having to be present for around a third of that time.

Will a Fogger Machine Work Against COVID-19?

The short answer is – yes, it will. While there are currently is no vaccination against COVID-19, the virus itself is vulnerable, like any other virus, while outside the body. It’s here that it can be effectively combatted, preventing the virus from making it into the body, where it becomes a lot harder to fight off. Simply washing your hands for 20 seconds with hot water and plain ordinary soap is sufficient enough to destroy the virus on your hands.

So, by applying a powerful, high-level disinfectant to a surface or even the air, the virus simply doesn’t stand a chance. First, the formula is dispersed into the air as a mist or fog, which helps to neutralise any harmful droplets which might be floating about. As the mist/ fog spreads throughout the room, it comes to rest on surfaces which is where our natural formula takes over.

The unique combination of hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and super oxidised water has been shown to eliminate 99.99% of harmful pathogens, including the coronavirus. In fact, it can completely eradicate the virus from any surface in less than one minute. This makes it very useful for a multitude of situations. For instance, it can be used to great effect on COVID-19 wards where infected patients are being treated.

And it can be used by homeowners looking to keep their families safe. Our disinfectant fogging machines make it possible to distribute our high-level disinfectant quickly, helping to keep COVID-19 at bay until such time a vaccination is made available.

What Is the Benefit of Using a Fogging Cleaning Machine to Fight Against COVID-19?

Back in March, the UK entered its first lockdown. While restrictions were gradually lifted months later, the country is set to enter a second lockdown which will last until the start of December at the very least. At present, there is still no vaccination against COVID-19, and so the virus is much harder to fight once inside the body. The most effective way to combat it then is while it’s outside the body.

This is where fogging machines come into their element. As we’ve established throughout this article, fogging machines serve the purpose of providing effective sterilisation over the widest possible area. By preventing COVID-19 from gaining a foothold, you’re keeping it at bay while protecting your staff and customers. Not only does this help to flatten the curve by reducing the number of infections, but it also helps to alleviate the strain on an already over-burdened NHS.

COVID-19 can spread quickly and be transmitted at a very rapid rate among colleagues or through social groups. While washing your hands, wearing a mask, and observing social distance all help to protect you and others, fogging machines take things a step further. By using a disinfectant fogger, you ensure that rooms remain sanitised, ensuring that harmful pathogens are suppressed, thereby negating their impact.

Finally, it’s worth noting that even if sanitised, a room can become quickly contaminated if even one person enters it. Foggers allow for quick sanitisation of rooms and open spaces, making it that much easier to maintain safe, sterile environments.
